It's been a while!

I guess I should update everyone (or those of you who read this)....

I'm over the angsty-ness of the picture fiasco. I had a good time at the reunion...and that's all there is to say about that.

I'm a little less than one month away from the last of the three reunions this year. Really looking forward to the trip since I'll be able to drive all over the place in my rented car! Last time I was in Seattle, I had to either rely on a friend to take me around - or the bus. It'll be nice to be able to go where I want, when I want.

I'm thinking about visiting some different places - maybe even venture up to Port Townsend for a day. Spend some time with my friends Michelle, Christy, and see my brother's family in Issaquah....and OBVIOUSLY go by the Buckaroo, since that was my home for four years!

I'm in the process of "cleaning" my apartment - going through things - to prepare for a yard sale so I can raise money for the trip. I haven't given myself too much time though...so it should be interesting!

I also have to finish a bunch of arty things (elephant, cat heads, maybe some more dog heads) too.

Ok, that's the update.

I'm off!

Sad News - Unhappy feelings

On Tuesday, February 2nd, my dog was put to sleep. She meant a lot to me, and I don't think it was her time. I don't know who reads this blog, if anyone, so I'm going to vent here. If I hurt your feelings, I'm sorry, but I'm pretty emotional about it. Uta just turned 15 in October 2009, and she was old, yes...but was it her time? Absolutely not. This video was taken just about 45 minutes before she was taken to the vet. Sure she was old, but she still liked to go out and wander around, walking with the cat, smelling all the things, etc. Boots used to go with us on our walks....no matter how short or long they were. I wasn't allowed to go with Uta to the vet. I had to say goodbye to my dog (technically my Moms dog, but Uta and I knew better) before they left. Mom said "I can't deal with YOU AND Uta AND me in the room!" What a load. I felt like I had let Uta down by not being there to let her know I wasn't abandoning her. Mom and Louise

Getting ready...

Sheesh...so many things to get ready for! 1. Louise and Mom coming back tomorrow from the hospital (L with a new knee) - have to get the house in order - do laundry - clean the house - prepare comfort foods (like jello and pudding) - and run some last minute errands.... 2. WAG Dog Trials (agility trials) Saturday morning - make 6 more heads to get the total up to 20 - figure out a display for the heads - take pictures of the new heads and get them printed up and laminated for the dog portfolio - label and put hangers on all the heads 3. Last minute banner to do for Nye Beach Merchants Assoc. - due by the 15th - not going to be as involved as the last one, but still want to make it nice 4. Finish designing the new painting for the car - have to have it done and have pics taken by the 29th (so I can take the pics to my reunion) - gotta have something to show off! I don't have kids - the car IS my baby! 5. SOMEWHERE IN THERE - IS MY BIRTHDAY!!! This is the first year I haven't

Wednesday again...

It's wednesday again....and I'm supposed to be going to sleep in a few hours (around 1pm) to get ready for this week's shifts... It's always difficult to get a full 8 hours on my "monday"...but I try. Tonight's work - not work-related - will be putting the background and design touches onto the "rough sketch" for the new painting on the car. I'm hoping to have it done by July 29th - before I go to Spokane. If I don't, I'm not going to stress about it. I still have a huge list of other projects I have to work on - namely an ELEPHANT that will be finished by the time I travel to Seattle in the middle of September.
